Getting into video production? Want to record a podcast? Maybe interview someone for a vlog? There are microphone solutions for all of these individual audio scenarios, but there isn’t any one handy solution that covers them all. Until now.
BOYA Magic is a new AI-powered wireless microphone kit that boasts it “redefines on-the-go audio for today’s creators.” The concept is very good—one product with four configurations that provides an audio solution for creators working across multiple audio-visual scenarios.

The BOYA Magic kit comes in a little pouch. The main component is a small wireless microphone that you can hold—perfect for recording quick handheld segments to camera. It’s 5.6 inches long, weighing 81.5 g. You use the little mic stand (sold separately) so you can place the mic on a desktop and go hands-free—perfect for recording podcasts. The cold shoe on the mic stand comes off, in case you want to mount it to a camera for run-and-gun video shoots. That’s useful. Then there’s the thing that is most impressive: you can open a cover on the mic and pop out two tiny wireless lavalier mics that clip onto a lapel or attach to a T-shirt using a little magnet. This is great if you want to interview people while you’re out and about, or make a vlog on the go. The mics are only an inch and a quarter long and weigh just 7 g. They come with a small clip-on wind muff for outdoor recording in windy conditions. This is really cool.

The microphone has a 48 kHz sampling rate and a 24-bit rate, and uses AI noise cancellation. A limiter prevents sudden peaks and distortion, and a -12 dB safety track is automatically recorded for shoots with unpredictable audio levels.
Each transmitter offers up to 6 hours of battery life, while the included charging case extends total operation to 30 hours. As with most tech these days, you can download an app for even more customization and control. The BOYA Central app provides access to noise cancellation settings, EQ presets, gain adjustment, and more.

There’s really nothing else like this on the market, which makes it unique, and very useful for those of us who have a bunch of different audio needs on the go.
The BOYA Magic kit is $165, and the mic stand is $30.
